Sathya brings a well-rounded and international perspective to Certified Planning and Development with nearly seven years of experience in planning within Australia and internationally. She recently completed her Masters of Urban and Regional Planning at the University of South Australia, complementing her international academic background. This impressive resume includes a Master of Real Estate Management and Valuation, and a Bachelor of Science in Town and Country Planning (Honours) from prestigious Sri Lankan universities.

This diverse academic foundation, combined with her professional experience, gives Sathya a deep understanding of both real estate market dynamics and the regulatory frameworks that shape planning outcomes. Her ability to bridge these two domains enables her to deliver practical and innovative planning solutions that are grounded in market realities while aligning with policy and community objectives.

In Sri Lanka, Sathya gained extensive experience in strategic planning, having played a key role in the development of major planning projects. These include the Administrative Capital City Plan and three Tourism Master Plans for internationally renowned tourist destinations, where she contributed significantly to visioning, spatial planning, and policy recommendations.

Her passion lies in sustainable community development. Throughout her career, she has led and supported a variety of projects aimed at improving quality of life, environmental protection, and long-term community resilience. Sathya also has practical experience in development assessment, which has broadened her understanding of local planning processes and compliance requirements. She is committed to ongoing development as a planning professional through her membership to the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA), as a student member and is currently working towards becoming a full member (MPIA).
